According to Zillow.com, in U.S. the weekly average rate for a 30-year fixed mortgage rose from 4.62% a week earlier to 4.67%, which is the first increase since mid-October.
Rise in 15-year fixed mortgages
It has been indicated by the Seattle online real estate company’s Zillow Mortgage Rate Monitor that last week national rates for 15-year fixed mortgages also rose from 4.19 a week earlier to 4.20.
Rise in 30-year fixed mortgages
In Washington state, rates for 30-year fixed mortgages has shown a rise from 4.64% to 4.68% a week earlier.
10% Rise in Volume of Mortgage Requests
It has also been reported by Zillow that their has been arise of 10% in the volume of mortgage requests from the week before, among them 51% were those who requests for refinance loans.
